I subscribeSon of playwright Fernand Crommelynck, Piero Crommelynck (1934-2001) was practically born with a pencil in his hand. Encouraged by his family to practice drawing from a young age, he studied with his older brothers Milan and Aldo in the renowned studio of Roger Lacourière, the Parisian engraver of Matisse, Braque, and Léger. At 17, Piero Crommelynck discovered Montmartre life and a certain Pablo Picasso, whose genius immediately fascinated him. The two men developed a long friendship, alongside their professional collaboration.
